Looking to expand its market presence in Indiana, WynnBET announced Friday it has reached a multiyear agreement to be a sports betting partner of the Indianapolis Colts.
WynnBET, which is a mobile skin tethered to Rising Sun Casino — located near the Ohio border and less than two hours from Indianapolis — launched in April and has generated more than $3.2 million in handle over its first four-plus months of operation. It has placed 10th among mobile operators in handle each of the last three months and was eighth in revenue in August with more than $77,000.
“This partnership with WynnBET will help the Colts expand offerings, activities, and events for our fans and customers and provide multiple new options for them to engage with the team,” said Colts Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Roger VanDerSnick in a statement. “We also look forward to WynnBET’s presence in our television shows, podcasts, and other digital and social platforms, which will allow us to touch even more fans, on gameday or otherwise.”
The Colts are the second sports team in the region to partner with WynnBET, which became partners with the Cincinnati Reds in June.
It is the second sports betting partnership announced in as many days for the Colts, who also made Caesars a sports betting partner and its official casino partner Thursday.
Signage, lounges, tailgates, and Ambassador Mathis
The partnership gives WynnBET space inside Lucas Oil Stadium, with the West Club being renamed the WynnBET Club. It will feature a 21-and-over sports bar in the upstairs club level as well as a WynnBET VIP area.
Former Colts outside linebacker Robert Mathis, who helped the team win Super Bowl XLI in 2007 and played his entire 14-year career in Indianapolis, will be a WynnBET ambassador. The five-time Pro Bowler and 2013 AFC Defensive Player of the Year will make in-person appearances and participate in media partner programming for the sportsbook.
WynnBET will also have media presence across multiple platforms: It will be the presenting sponsor of the Colts Official Podcast and the title sponsor of the Colts Mobile App, which includes visibility on the team’s social media channels. WynnBET will also get placement throughout the team’s radio programming, including the Countdown to Kickoff pre-game show, in-game broadcasts, and The 5th Quarter Huddle post-game show.
One unique feature will be WynnBET branding on the stadium’s north end zone LED adjacent to the window that provides views of downtown Indianapolis. It will also be featured on lineup cards given to fans in Lucas Oil Stadium suites and the WynnBET Club.
Outside Lucas Oil, WynnBET will have a lounge area called Touchdown Town, where people ages 21 and over are eligible for prizes. WynnBET will partner with the team for various social interactions that feature Colts legends and WynnBET ambassadors as well as food and beverage offerings.
