The bar/restaurant chain Hooters and BetRivers, one of Indiana’s legal sports betting platforms, are trying to boost each other in Indiana and elsewhere where online sports betting is legal.
According to a news release, Hooters is now utilizing a product called KonekTV at all of its locations throughout Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, in an effort to become “the ultimate destination for sports betting fans.” It’s a lofty ambition.
KonekTV is a sports information screen that displays game stats and other information. Odds from BetRivers are displayed via these screens, alongside promotions for patrons at the restaurants.
It’s a similar arrangement to the Buffalo Wild Wings deal with MGM’s BetMGM sports betting product.
BetMGM is not live in the Hoosier State.
Rush Street comments
BetRivers is a product from Illinois-based Rush Street Interactive. It launched in Indiana in October.
“BetRivers is excited to partner with KonekTV to promote our brand, odds, and betting experience to sports fans visiting Hooters locations across the three states where our mobile sports betting service is legal. We have a range of innovation planned for how to drive activations and engagement at retail locations such as Hooters,” said Matt Stetz, chief operating officer at Rush Street Interactive.
Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania allow bettors to sign up for a mobile sports betting account remotely without visiting a casino, a necessity for the aforementioned partnership.
No terms of the deals between Hooters, BetRivers, and KonekTV were made public.
